My internship at Hanafsan – Experiences with hemp, CBD, and sustainability

Beforehand, I found the topic of hemp fascinating, as the plant can be used in many areas – from care products to food. During my internship, I was able to look into different departments and learned a lot – often things I couldn't have imagined before.

Insight into the Nursery – Plant Care and Teamwork

In the first days, I was assigned to the nursery of Hanafsan. There, I was allowed to help with caring for, repotting, and watering the plants. At first, I thought it might become a bit monotonous, but I quickly realized how exciting this work is. There is an incredible amount of knowledge and experience behind it to ensure the plants thrive well – light, water, temperature, and many little details play a big role. The work outdoors was particularly enjoyable, as was the friendly interaction within the team. You could immediately feel that the employees do their work with passion and support each other.

Shipping & Customer Service – Accuracy and Friendliness Matter

After the days in the nursery, I was able to work directly with Dr. Feurstein. He showed me how the online orders in the Hanafsan shop are processed. I helped with packaging the products, printing shipping labels, and completing the packages. It became clear to me how important care and organization are to ensure that every order arrives on time and without errors. I also received an exciting insight into customer service. There, I learned how to handle inquiries and feedback from customers in a friendly and patient manner – something that is important in every profession.

Online Marketing and Social Media at Hanafsan

A particularly interesting part of my internship was the area of online advertising and social media. I was able to see how Hanafsan presents its CBD and hemp products online and what to pay attention to in good images, texts, and posts. I was explained how to reach new customers through digital advertising and how important a consistent brand image is. Since I am also privately interested in media and online marketing, this was particularly exciting for me.

What I Learned About Hemp and CBD

During my internship, I also learned a lot about hemp and CBD. Many people mistakenly confuse hemp with drugs, but that is not true. The hemp plant used at Hanafsan contains no THC, so no substance that gets you "high." Instead, it contains CBD, a natural substance that can be helpful for well-being. CBD is used, for example, in care products, oils, and foods. It has calming and relaxing properties without being harmful. I found it impressive to learn how diverse, useful, and sustainable hemp actually is.

My Conclusion About the Internship at Hanafsan

Overall, my internship at Hanafsan was a very educational and diverse experience. I learned how many different areas in a company interconnect – from working with the plants to customer service to online marketing. I particularly enjoyed the mix of practical work and office tasks. The internship showed me how exciting the working world can be – and that with interest, commitment, and openness, you can learn something new everywhere.
