Cooking with hemp
Hemp protein bar - concentrated power for the body
Protein bars quickly provide sufficient energy. However, finding the right bar is not always easy, as they not only deliver energy and protein, but also packaging waste and unwanted additives.Hemp protein is a plant-based, complete protein, meaning it contains all essential amino acids that can only be obtained from food. It is easily digestible, promotes muscle growth, and can satisfy cravings. Perfect for homemade, vegan protein bars with dates. They provide protein, healthy fats, and good carbohydrates, meaning they supply your body with fiber, minerals, and vitamins.

Ingredients:
- 100g hemp protein powder
- Salt
- 1 tbsp chocolate nibs (chocolate with high cocoa content)
- 100g hazelnuts
- 2 tbsp raw cocoa or baking cocoa
- 40g coconut oil
- 2 tbsp hemp seeds
- Maple syrup
- 180g dates
Preparation:
Place the dates in a pot, pour hot water over them and let them soak for about 15 minutes (or soak overnight). Chop or blend the hazelnuts. Puree the dates and mix with hazelnuts, protein powder, hemp seeds, and a pinch of salt. Then melt the coconut oil and mix it with the cocoa. Stir everything well in a bowl and finally add the chocolate nibs. Spread the mixture on a baking sheet or in a baking dish and press it flat (approx. 1 – 1.5 cm thick). If available, place the mixture into bar molds. Now shape the bars with a knife or cookie cutter and refrigerate for at least 6 hours. Once the bars are firm enough, place them on baking paper. A delicious glaze can be made with melted coconut oil, maple syrup, and cocoa. Pour some chocolate sauce over the bars and decorate with hemp seeds or almonds. Your homemade power protein bars are ready.
