And – now it gets interesting for all last-minute makers – even unhulled hemp seeds do not need to be soaked for a long time but can be immediately processed into delicious hemp milk. Fresh hemp milk also tastes very different from store-bought and is much cheaper. This simple recipe for homemade hemp milk shows you how!

Tips for perfect hemp milk
If the dates are too hard to blend, simply soak them in warm water for about 10 minutes before preparation. Do not discard the soaking water but use it to dilute the hemp milk! Depending on how finely the hemp seed-date mixture is ground, the mass can be used for baking or cooking, for example for delicious hemp energy balls, or mixed into muesli. For especially creamy hemp milk, you can slightly adjust the ratio of hemp seeds to water. The more hemp seeds used, the more intense and creamier the plant milk becomes.
Variations & flavor ideas
You can easily vary your hemp milk: with cocoa it becomes chocolaty, with cinnamon wintery, and with vanilla especially mild. This way you bring variety to your plant-based diet.
