WälderKrut – Hemp from the Bregenzerwald

With WälderKrut, Aaron Kirmair, Tobias Vögl, and Gervin Huber have set out to reestablish the valuable crop plant in the Bregenzerwald and in Vorarlberg. In the cultivation of industrial hemp and the marketing of products derived from it, regionality, sustainability, and quality are the top priorities for the three young entrepreneurs.

The three young men from Bregenzerwald place particular emphasis on the possibilities of making hemp fibers usable again for textile production in this country. The positive properties of the industrial hemp plant for the environment and nature are undisputed for Kirmair, Vögl, and Huber, as hemp outshines almost every other crop used for textile production. The declared goal of the young company: regional clothing made from their own hemp fibers. Not only due to geographical proximity, there has been close cooperation with HANAFSAN since the founding process. In this context, agricultural process optimizations and research, raw material extraction, and the development of special extracts play an important role.
