Product Description

High-quality organic hemp flour with 30% protein – Plant power from Austria. The HANAFSAN organic hemp flour is a natural, vegan superfood with a high content of plant protein (about 30%). It is produced from the press cake of hulled hemp seeds that is generated during the gentle cold pressing for oil extraction. This is then finely ground – completely free from additives. The result is a gluten-free, fiber-rich natural product that is not only popular among athletes and health-conscious individuals but also offers the perfect complement for a conscious, sustainable diet.

Versatile in the Kitchen: Baking, Cooking, Shakes

The HANAFSAN hemp flour impresses not only with its nutritional values but also with its versatility. It is excellent for baking bread, cookies, pancakes, or muffins, but can also be used in savory dishes such as stir-fries or vegetable patties. For protein shakes or smoothies, we recommend the following preparation:

  • 30 g hemp flour (about 2 tbsp)
  • 200 ml water, juice, or plant-based milk

Mix everything well in a shaker – and you have a nutritious, protein-rich drink.

Why Hemp Flour is a Healthy Alternative

HANAFSAN Organic Hemp Flour is particularly rich in plant-based protein, contains all essential amino acids as well as omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids in an ideal ratio. It also scores with a high fiber content and is naturally gluten-free – ideal for people with intolerances or for anyone who consciously wants to avoid gluten. With its slightly nutty flavor, it adds an aromatic, natural note to baked goods, pancakes or mueslis.

Using Hemp Flour Correctly in Baking

Since hemp flour does not contain a gluten structure (gluten protein), it cannot be used 1:1 as a substitute for wheat flour. Especially in bread doughs, the binding is missing. A sensible mix is therefore:

  • 10–30% hemp flour, combined with regular flour or wholemeal flour
  • A bit more liquid, as hemp flour absorbs more
  • Addition of honey or date syrup to soften the slightly bitter taste
  • Optional: hemp seeds for an extra nutty crunch and additional nutrients

Tip: Baking with wholemeal flour also requires finesse. Since it absorbs more liquid and makes the dough heavier, you should increase the liquid amount by about 20%. The combination of wholemeal and hemp flour results in particularly nutrient-rich baked goods.

Hemp Flour is Not the Same as Hemp Protein Powder

Important note: Hemp flour is different from hemp protein powder. While hemp flour is made from the press cake of hemp seeds and finely ground, hemp protein powder is a more concentrated extract with a higher protein content. Hemp flour, on the other hand, is natural, high in fiber, and ideal for everyday cooking.
